PE License Pro (pelicensepro.com) is operated by Alex Woodhams, doing business as WoodVentures, in Indiana, USA ("we", "us"). WoodVentures products include PE License Pro and AmpSketch (ampsketch.com). You can reach us anytime at hello@pelicensepro.com.
This policy describes what we collect when you use PE License Pro, why we collect it, and the choices you have. The short version: we collect what the product needs to track your licenses and remind you before deadlines, we do not sell your data, and you can delete your account and its data whenever you want.
Account information. Your name, email address, and password (stored by our authentication provider, never in plain text), plus optional profile details such as city and state.
License and compliance data.The professional licenses you add or import: license numbers, license types, states, issue and expiration dates, and status. If you use a firm account, this also covers your firm's Certificates of Authorization, business registrations, offices, and member roster.
Continuing-education records. Courses, providers, dates, and hours you log, import from NCEES CPC (using the NCEES account email you choose to connect), or extract by uploading a course certificate.
Public license records.At your request, we retrieve license details about you from state licensing boards' public lookup systems to save you retyping them. This is the same information anyone can view on the board's website.
Payment information. Payments are processed by Stripe. We store your Stripe customer reference, plan, and subscription status. We never see or store your full card number.
Usage information. Pages visited, actions taken, device and browser type, and approximate location derived from IP address, collected through cookies and the analytics tools listed below.
Lead-magnet emails.If you request the free license tracking spreadsheet and leave your email, we store it to send the file and occasional notes when a state's renewal rules change. That is the only marketing use, and every email has an unsubscribe link.
To run the product: tracking your licenses against each state's requirements, sending renewal reminders at the intervals you choose, importing license and CE data, generating exports, and providing firm dashboards. To bill you for paid plans. To answer support requests. To understand how the product is used so we can improve it. And to measure whether our advertising works.
Document and text extraction.When you upload a CE certificate or import license data, the document or text is processed by Anthropic's API to extract fields such as course name, date, and hours. Under Anthropic's API terms, this data is not used to train their models.
Firm accounts. If you join a firm account, your firm admin can see your license and CE compliance status. That visibility is the point of the firm product; do not join a firm account if you do not want that.
We share data only with the providers that run the service: Supabase (database, authentication, and file storage), Vercel (hosting), Railway (runs the lookup service that queries state licensing boards' public systems; license search queries, which can include names, pass through it), Stripe (payments), Resend (transactional email), Anthropic (AI document parsing: uploaded CE certificates and imported license or firm data are sent to Anthropic's API to extract fields), Google (Analytics and Ads measurement), Microsoft Clarity (session analytics), and LinkedIn (ad measurement). Each receives only what its function requires. We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with data brokers.
We may also disclose information if required by law, or as part of a business transfer, in which case this policy continues to apply.
We use cookies to keep you signed in and to run the analytics and ad measurement tools above. You can block cookies in your browser; the signed-in product needs its session cookie to work, but the site works fine with analytics cookies blocked.
We keep your data while your account is active. You can delete your account from Settings, or email us and we will do it for you. Deleting your account removes your licenses, CE records, and profile from the live database; residual copies in encrypted backups roll off on the backup schedule. Billing records are retained as required by tax law.
Data is encrypted in transit (TLS) and at rest by our database provider. Access to production data is limited to the operator. Passwords are hashed by our authentication provider. No system is perfectly secure; if we learn of a breach affecting your data, we will notify you.
You can access and correct your data in the app, export your CE records, and delete your account. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights (access, portability, deletion, opting out of targeted advertising). Email hello@pelicensepro.com and we will honor them.
PE License Pro is a professional tool for licensed adults. It is not directed at anyone under 18, and we do not knowingly collect data from them.
If we make material changes, we will update the date below and, for significant changes, email account holders. Continued use after a change means you accept the updated policy.
